What you type

The QR code is made in your browser. The page's code never sends what you type (links, text, WiFi passwords, contact details) to anyone, and there is no account or server-side storage of it. Reloading clears it.

What we count

This page uses an anonymous usage counter. It adds one to a daily total when a page is opened and, in batches, when QR codes are made, by type (text or link, WiFi, contact card). It stores no identifier and no content, sets no cookie and does not read request headers.

Ads

This tool is free and shows one ad, from a third-party network (Adsterra), in an isolated frame. The ad is on by default. You can turn it off at any time with Turn ads off in the page footer; the page then loads nothing from the network and removes an ad that is already showing.

While the ad is on, the network's code runs inside that frame. The frame cannot read what you type, the page, or our stored setting. The network can still see ordinary request data: your IP address, device and browser details, the address of this site as the referrer, and an ad ID, and it may set its own cookies. We cannot control that, and we do not see what the network collects. Do not enter anything you would not enter on a page that shows ads.

The page also shows one sponsored link ("See a sponsored offer") from the same network. Nothing is requested from the network until you click it. If you click, you leave this site: the page you reach is chosen by the network, we do not control it, and it and the network may collect your IP address and device details and may set cookies. We never open it for you. Turn ads off hides this link too.

Ads can link to other sites. Those sites have their own policies. If you use an ad blocker, that is fine: the tool works the same.

Your choice

We keep one setting on your device, only if you turn ads off: the key qrtools_ads_off in your browser's local storage. It is not a cookie. Use Turn ads on in the footer to reverse it. Clearing your browser's site data also removes it.

The host

The page is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may keep ordinary request logs for the page files. We set no cookies ourselves.
